New for the 2008 Camping Season
Eastern Slope Camping Area has hired an activities director to plan children's activities daily Tuesday through Saturday in July and August!

Planning your perfect vacation at Eastern Slope Camping Area is easy!
Just take it one day at a time.
 

Day One:

Storyland - needs no introduction - the greatest place to take the children for a magical day to remember. Only 9 miles North on Rt. 16, next door to Heritage New Hampshire.

Day Two:

Morning ride on Conway Scenic Railroad to the mountains, then an afternoon drive up the Mt. Washington Auto Road for a view to be remembered.

Day Three:

Give the kids a break to swim in our heated pool, play on our huge playground, float down the river on a tube between our beaches, or rent one of our kayaks or canoes and leisurely paddle down the Saco River.

Day Four:

Fun at the Fields of Attitash Water Park, then in the afternoon off to Santa’s Village.

Day Five:

Up over the Kancamagus Highway to try a few trails, or visit Clark’s Trading Post. Take a ride on the Hobo Railroad.

Day Six:

Look for Lost River, or head for the Flume Gorge and take a trip on the Cannon Aerial Tramway.

Day Seven:

Outlet shopping in tax-free North Conway, visiting Settlers’ Green Outlet Village Plus. Take in a movie at one of the 3 theaters.

Day Eight:

Off to Whale’s Tale Water Park or take a trip on the M/S Mt. Washington across Lake Winnipesaukee.

Day Nine:

Take a trip into the clouds on the Cog Railway.

Day Ten:

Six Gun City or Polar Caves.

Eastern Slope Weekly Activities

Every Evening (weather permitting): Fire Truck drawn hay ride (free of charge)! Leaves the rec hall at 7:00PM. It’s a big red antique 1963 fire truck, and it’s calling all children from 0 -91!

Wednesday & Saturday Evenings: Ice Cream Social outside the rec hall at 7:15PM, right after the hay ride. Lots of yummy toppings for you to add ($).

Thursday Evenings (beginning June 19th): Children’s Art Themed Activities with Nancy from The Artery, North Conway ($5 - $10) at 5:30PM. See her work at www.arteryinc.com.

Saturday Mornings in July & August:
Children’s Craft Hour at the rec hall starting at 9:30AM. Color a t-shirt, mold sand dough, etc. ($).

Themed Weekends at Eastern Slope Camping Area

July 11-13: Christmas In July: Magic Show, Secret Santa, and more! You are
welcome to bring a wrapped and labeled gift from Santa.


July 11-13 and July 18-20: Thomas the Tank Engine is Coming to Town!

August 15-17: Luau Themed Live Entertainment
Decorate your canopied picnic table and campsite, decorate your bike, decorate your children! Have lots of fun making everything look fun and creative. Competitions, prizes, parade, activities and more!


October 10-12 (Columbus Weekend): Halloween Weekend
Popular fall games and activities for all ages!
 

Before you start your day, make sure you visit Leavitt’s Country Store Bakery (at the end of our driveway) for your morning coffee & donuts, and pick up some fresh local fruits & vegetables from Whitaker’s Farm Stand.
